The Hong Kong actor booked three sections of the amusement park and apologised to the visitors for the inconvenience caused
Veteran actor Eric Tsang organised another party at Hong Kong Disneyland yesterday, following his high profile birthday bash last week. The newly turned 60-year-old reportedly booked three sections of the park and invited nearly 300 guests to the extended celebration on his actual birthday.
The guest list included big names such as celeb couple Natalis Chan and Cecilia Wong, Tony Leung Ka Fai and wife Jiang Jianian, Jacky Cheung, Shirley Kwan, Connie Chan, Charmaine Sheh, Sandra Ng, Kenny Bee, Chin Kar-lok, Timmy Hung and their families.
Explaining his choice for the party venue, Eric said that he wanted his friends and their family members to join in the celebration as many of them have become parents in recent years.
'I hope to have more interaction with the kids. It's heart-warming and a rare opportunity to have sections of the park to ourselves for photo-taking,' he added.
Although a notice stating that 'The park will be closed from 4pm for a private event' was put up to inform visitors of the closure, some families expressed their disappointment when asked to leave.
A representative from Disneyland clarified that an announcement was previously made on the official website, while Eric bowed in apology to the visitors affected by the closure and even promised to treat them to the park again next time.
Last week, the actor had to be escorted out of his birthday bash via a secret route by his family to avoid being caught by the paparazzi in his drunken state. When asked to comment on the incident, Eric claimed that he will quit drinking for a period of time, saying, 'I may not need to rest, but my liver needs to.'
