Far East Movement has done it again with a follow-up hit "Rocketeer", rocketing up the Billboard Hot 100 and taking #9 this week. Will it be able to sustain its momentum and take the #1 spot? We'll have to stay tuned.
In the meantime, enjoy a clip of their performance on Conan if you missed it last night.
If you haven't seen their official music video, here it is. They got some pretty sick Datsun 240Z's in the video.

Vancouverite Godfrey Gao was recently chosen to be the new face of Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2011 Ready-to-Wear campaign. This is the first time that the 157 year old luxury brand has ever featured an Asian model.
The first released image of the ad campaign shows the handsome Gao sporting the newest Louis Vuitton Damier Graphite Elvis messenger bag. For the first time, Louis Vuitton is explicitly aiming to market to the Asian population. Asians have a voracious appetite for luxury brands, especially in China, where Louis Vuitton and other high-end fashion retailers have opened stores.
So who is the man behind the latest Louis Vuitton ad? Gao was born in Vancouver but was raised by a Taiwanese father and Malaysian mother. The 26 year old's interests include basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, taekwondo, wakeboarding, DJ, playing the drums, track-and-field and ice skating. In his English interview with UrbanWire, he talks about his love for food and cooking.
Gao graduated from Argyle Secondary School in North Vancouver and studied at Capilano University. At 6'4" (195 cm), he has modelled in local fashion shows for Mantique, Torino and Ecko (G-Unit) clothing. His early acting credits consist of small roles in Star-gate SG-1 and Still-Life -- both of which were produced in his hometown.
He decided to base his career in Taiwan and was immediately embraced by the industry. Godfrey has appeared in seven Taiwanese dramas, from The Kid from Heaven in 2006 to the most recent Volleyball Lover. The paparazzi in Taiwan and Hong Kong has started to follow him everywhere, a sign of his increasing celebrity status. Even though this star is rising fast, Gao still remains a very humble, unassuming and soft-spoken guy known as 'G' among his closest friends. In spring, his face will be seen in magazines, websites and stores around the world.

What do get when you take 4 work-a-holic Asian Americans representing 4 distinct ethnicities (Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Filipino) and give them musical instruments? Elektro nirvana. Now mix in a venue and a void to fill and you're slowly beginning to understand what The Far East Movement epitomize. Since their saga is one that's still being written, let's bring you up to speed before you go ask somebody and get slapped.
No really. You the man. FM MOVEMENT was founded in 2003. Members consists of Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif, and DJ Virman. All four call Los Angeles, California home.
Aside from comparisons to LMFAO and numerous electro hip hop acts, they prefer to forge apart and be pioneers. In fact they don't much care for labels- they prefer to term their music (as well as the lifestyle they've created) 'Free Wired'.
From their official website, ‘Free Wired’ translates to a way of life by constantly staying interactive and living the lifestyle it promotes. If so..
may we join you in "popping bottles like a blizzard".. please?
Turtle lover or simply an avid fan of ENTOURAGE? Then you've likely heard their track in the background during one of Ari Gold's majestic tirades. "Boomshake"was featured in the HBO series.
If you're enamored of nitrous breathing beasts from the east, you'll immediately recognize and stand in respect to the battle anthem of the import scene deployed by FM in 2006.
Their sizzling single "Round Round" was loud and proud in the film "The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift". And speaking of smoking hot..
The Dogg Father himself, Snoop will be one of the artists featured on FM's new album entitled FREE WIRED. It is their first major debut album from Cherry/Interscope Records. It drops October 12, 2010 and also contains tracks graced by Keri Hilson, Lil Jon and
the ever enchanting Natalia Kills to name a few.
Earlier this year FM's single ANIMAL was used in the opening title sequence of the short K-Town Cowboys. If I drink 3 bottles of 750ml Hite, 2 soju bombs and a shot of Patron, how much alcohol have I consumed?
Who here's good in math? The boys get down and geek out.
Why the dark sunglasses at night? According to Prohgrees,“Our routine and fashion allow us to party all night, then head straight to an important business meeting in the morning, we always stay business fresh, plus we keep shades on to hide the lack of sleep.”
In 2009 they were in very good company during Powerhouse. This is an epic concert held annually on the west coast. Concisely, it is the Olympics of club joints sponsored by LA mega station Power 106 where hip hop lives.
Ok fellas, time to grab your gear for LAX and be "Fly Like a G6" after being an "Animal" last night with the "Girls on the Dance Floor"- ok, we're deeply sorry but we love our favorite free wired party rockers here at Groove Asia and gentlemen, "You've Got a Friend". Peace out.

As some of you may already know, the sequel/spin-off to last year's top Korean TV drama "Iris" is scheduled to air in Korea this November. Called "Athena: Goddess of War", it pulls no punches with star power.
In the lead role is Jung Woo Sung. Though not as renown as Lee Byung-Hun world-wide but definitely not lacking in the looks department, whether he can match Lee's performance in "Iris" remains to be seen. His credentials of hit movies and TV dramas, though, gives us a convincing bet that he will not fail to impress. And judging from his character still below, there definitely is a hint of James Bond in him.
Equally impressive as the leading man, Park Soo Ae takes on the star female lead. Park is probably best known for her role of Lady Junghwa in the drama "Emperor of the Sea".
We're not sure of Cha Seung-won role but he looks mighty bad-ass.
Here is Kim Min-jong. According to sources, he will be playing a North Korean defector who becomes Jung's partner.
To make sure we have the teeny boppers glued to the tube, we have no other than Super Junior's Choi Siwon.
Last but not least, we have one gratutious eye-candy for the boys and men: Lee Jia.
So there you go: a quick intro to the cast. Until the series starts in November, all we have to quell our anxiousness with, is a music video from its original soundtrack called "I Love You" by Park Hyo Shin.

Greetings fellow earth dwellers! As we gaze at the heavenly body above us all, one can't help but muse- is the dawning of the age of Aquarius already upon us?
Conceivably so, but let’s back up a tad. Picture if you will, an unusually heated spring in South Korea. The year is 1981 and an adorable couple are in love. A tender lass swoons into the arms of a vivacious young man as he gently drops the needle into the groove of a freshly pressed vinyl by Peter Cetera- or his Korean equivalent.
The sensuous ballads (and perhaps soju) overtake the amorous duo. They fervently fall behind the bedroom door in a valiant attempt to justify their love. Jackpot.
“First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Hello Hwang Mi Hee.”
To the blessed couple was born a future 5'8" goddess on January 21, 1982. A date which must be auspicious indeed.
Don’t agree? Then throw down with a beautifully buxom, Bollywood bombshell. Indian actress Kim Sharma is also an Aquarius and needless to say, equally stunning.
And for the ladies, so is cool as ice Ken Leung- who is fortunately no longer LOST on ABC.
And btw, if you thought he was great on primetime, we implore you to rent the Spike Lee joint- SUCKER FREE CITY. He delivers an incredible performance. Power, praise and passion Mr. Leung, you rock.
Now being born on January 21st isn’t just about beauty or being a badass on the big screen, there’s also a brawny tech titan residing under those same stars.
Be sure to wish Microsoft Co-Founder Paul Allen a very happy birthday too. But enough with the beefy brains you profanely contest? Get back to the ridiculously good looking people? Absolutely.
Gee, I really can make ANY ensemble work!
So alright, we’ve clearly and decisively established that each parent of the above made all the right moves at exactly the right time. Yet the throbbing question remains- how do YOU gain Hwang Mi Hee’s attention and garner her warmest affections?
Well, one of these definitely helps. But wait, your pesky CPA (aka wife to some of you) frowns a frosty no?
Then relax. For half the price Ms. Hwang might bat an eye if you passionately hammer the highway in a beguiling GT3.
Now all this is not to say she’s shallow, rather she simply knows what she wants. And (regrettably for mere mortal men) at the top of her list of favorite rides appear Bentley and Porsche- not Buick and Pontiac.
Despite this revelation brethren, we humbly move on due in part to the painful awareness that the Hyundai Genesis is an incredible vehicle. And value to boot. In fact, it's Motor Trend’s 2010 Car of the Year (and most notably) in our pay grade. Therefore, can someone shamelessly get a memo to her regarding this fascinating tidbit?
We may try. But the poignant fact is that you do certainly learn a lot about cars by standing around them all day. Literally.
Hwang Mi Hee’s first break was from the Seoul Motor Show in 2007.
Modeling with a superior-built through bred. Sexy and solid design displayed in its finest form- and sure, the car is ok too.
Not the usual #1 we’re given at the club says our lead web producer.
You faintly cry,“I thought you loved me, but it seems you don’t care.” And she callously exclaims, “I care enough to know that I can never love you..”
And that’s the look of love my friends.
Yes, we swear to keep our adoration a secret. And honestly, for the last time the camera was empty.
Just as we suspected- this love gun is loaded and lethal. What can you say when locked in the crosshairs of desire? Hit me with your best shot.. of Jack Daniels, please.
“So ahh, if you’re drinking, we’re buying the bar babygirl!” screams the meathead. Yet why do the best nights often begin with a shot of whiskey and a wicked wink of seduction?
Then abruptly end with a migraine and stolen heart prior to 6 AM.
Ahh shucks, we love you too.
And incidentally, so does this cheeky lad who needs no formal introduction. Interestingly enough Mr. Hill too shares your propitious January 21st birth date- as well as our unbridled enthusiasm.
So classroom, what have the horoscopes taught us today? That perhaps eye contact with such exquisite and unparalleled beauty was the real reason behind why Aquarius spilled all his precious water.
But give the poor chap a break, would any sensible man with sight behave otherwise? After all, we have heard the legend of the legions that drown in their own drool, diving to worship at the feet of Hwang Mi Hee.
“Why do birds always say the view is best from up there?” asks the mighty ant.
In summation, is a Bentley worth a date? A Porsche worth a peck? You tell us. We’re off to secure a free Genesis brochure from the local Hyundai dealership. But for those chosen few out there with the prerequisites currently in your garage- drive sanely, bonne chance and a big fat #1 to you.

Yes Harold, I told you it was a scientific law of the universe- chicks love guys in bands. And Mr. Cho should know. For over a decade, John the actor most
recognize today, was (and is) in a Los Angeles based rock band. Really.
“Why do I have to sit in the cart?” Because you’re not the lead singer, dude.
Freshly formed Left of Zed circ pre-2000.
But alas- Zed’s dead baby, Zed’s dead. Still rocking but flying a new flag- say hello to Zed’s evolution into today’s “Viva La Union”. And yes, John remains the front man of the talented quartet. So one might ask with the bevy of booze and babes, does John party like a rockstar? Not if you’re aspiring to be a federal agent on ABC’s Flash Forward- his current day job. Amazingly, in between the jam sessions of the past 10 plus years, Mr. Cho has surreptitiously built an acting career that spawn from “MILF” to White Castle to a turbulent ride beyond the stars aboard the USS Enterprise. Ok, so crooning into a mic is one thing, but did you know he’s just at home on stage where there are no comforting cries “Cut!”. It’s been said in the darkness of theatre you can feel the mordant eyes of a live audience slowly sear your soul. But this hardly gave the zealous Cho a fright, in fact he segued from the stage to the sitcom seamlessly. The aptly named comedy, Off Centre was alive for almost 2 seasons on the WB- before parental groups lambasted it for being too lewd. Yet how can anyone not appreciate the sexual slapstick of Vietnamese restaurant owner Chau Presley portrayed by the crazy young partygoer that just birthed one of Hollywood’s best known acronyms via American Pie. Adding to the list of broken stereotypes in his wake, John was named one of the 16 sexiest men alive by People Magazine in 2006. Nice work if you can get it. I wonder if he and the other guys on the list make fun of people like me? Probably. But I solemnly understand. Singer. Actor. Lady Killer. But can he dance?
Once asked on the topic in an interview John replied, "I'm willing to make a fool of myself on the dance floor."
If that’s true Mr. Cho, then it’s hard to imagine a cooler self-proclaimed fool than you. Godspeed Lieutenant Sulu, as an Asian American actor in tinsel town today you’re boldly going where no man has gone before. And we salute you, Sir.

Gentlemen, when trying to impress a date- NEVER ask her to split the bill.. especially if its pistol packing protagonist, Maggie Q.
She plays the lead character in the upcoming action series NIKITA set to premiere this fall on the CW Network. From the familiar title you might be conjuring up another infamous girl on the run with a gun..
Indeed, a definite nod to the 1990 French action blockbuster written and directed by Luc Besson. Who could forget the scene with Victor the Cleaner and his suitcase full of acid? Right about now you maybe recalling your fondness for the film, but wait an MP5 minute- hadn't a Nikita television series previously been done?
Yes. From 1997 to 2001 it starred the falsely accused femme fatale Peta Wilson and aired on the USA cable television network. So will there be a connection between her story line and that of Maggie Q?
Perhaps. But for now we're already blown to bits by Ms. Q's impressive resume such as starring opposite Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible III.
And umm, looks that kill don't hurt the eyes.
